Joe 年輕的時候，跟所有當時的中學生一樣
都喜歡買唱片（ 學生之音 ）學英文歌曲，跟著歌詞哼哼唱唱…
當時有一首膾炙人口的歌曲：the Sound of Silence 沈默之聲
是Simon & Garfunkel 雙人優美的合聲
現在台灣的四五年級生，應該都不陌生。
最近偶然重聽這首經典西洋老歌，對其中歌詞的片斷，感觸良多
這首 Live 的演唱，很難得的是開宗明義的點出他們的原創意圖
" 當人們沒有真心溝通的能力與不能彼此相愛時 " 這就是所謂的「沉默之聲」
尤其是唱到 " Fools " said I, " You do not know "...
特別嘶吼著 " FOOL ! " 也即興式地表達出他們的無奈與憤怒
其實，現在的社會充斥著虛偽浮誇、公義不彰與是非模糊
但是，人們卻也像溫水青蛙一樣，顯得特別地沉默忍耐、麻木不仁！
這也就是無可奈何的「沉默之聲」啊...

我看見數以萬計或者更多的人們

大家都在說話，卻沒有一句真心話

人們都寫著一些言不由衷的歌曲

就是沒有人敢打破沈默，說出心中的聲音

我說：「傻瓜啊！你們不知道嗎

沈默就像癌細胞一樣的蔓延著

人們造神膜拜 ( the neon god 暗喻虛幻的物質享受 )

然而警訊已經漸漸清晰的浮現

警訊寫著：「先知的話，都只在窮人搭的地鐵、及廉價出租公寓的牆壁塗鴉裡」.
