記得念高一的時候，住在學校宿舍，晚上熄燈之後，一群大男孩晚上窮極無聊
想要跳個 Disco 當時也沒音響唱機，有一個同學有一台破收音機，調啊調的
想在微弱的頻道裡，找到一首舞曲供大夥兒舒展筋骨，終於在 AM 頻道裡傳來
Oh ho ho ho…大夥兒一聽就知道這是當時熱火朝天的舞曲《Kung Fu Fighting》
於是乎上鋪的跳下來、下鋪的鑽出來，大家光著膀子穿條內褲，準備跳 Disco
收音機娓娓傳來 “ Oh ho ho ho…Oh ho ho ho… 鐵 - 牛 - 運 - 功 - 散！”
“ 無論你是撞傷靠傷、中氣不順、鐵牛運功散！去傷解鬱、舒筋活血，有效喔！”
TNND 原來是藥品廣告！不過「功夫 + Disco」的確是當時年輕人的最愛

的確，浩浩神州，莽莽武林，十年就有一波新浪潮，70 年代誰領江湖風騷？
那就是佛山詠春拳葉問門下弟子：李小龍，憑著截拳道與雙節棍向世人展現了
1971 年《唐山大兄》1972 年《精武門》《猛龍過江》1973 年《龍爭虎鬥》
1973 年 7 月 20 日李小龍突然驟逝，留下成謎的死因、未完成的《死亡遊戲》
全世界並沒有因為他的過世而淡忘了他，反而中國功夫熱日益熾盛，他也帶動了
中國功夫和功夫電影、包括幾十年香港電影的榮景，李小龍成了功夫的時代標誌
1974年《Kung Fu Fighting》也是乘著這股中國功夫的熱潮，流行全世界
1942 年出生於牙買加、旅居在英國的歌手 Carl Douglas 1974 年要出一張唱片
製作人 Biddu 剛好缺一首 B 面的歌曲，於是 Carl Douglas 提供了幾首歌詞
Biddu 挑中了這首無心插柳的《Kung Fu Fighting》並簡單的以 Disco 風格譜曲
加上一段中國短笛的音樂來編曲，再添加上人猿泰山的呼號聲、及打鬥的吆喝聲
然後只花了幾十分鐘的時間，就草草地錄製完成了
接著 Biddu 將整張唱片呈交給發行人 Pye Records 試聽之下，他很具慧眼地
將這首《Kung Fu Fighting》從 B 面換至 A 面的位置，並做為主打歌來發行
《Kung Fu Fighting》上市後第五周，突然爆紅，竄升到英國排行榜的第一位
在美國第八周後也升到排行榜首位，並且紅遍全球，專輯熱銷總共 1100 萬張
這首歌曲搭配當時流行的 Disco 風潮，在歐美就成為了中國功夫的代表歌曲
這也是 Carl Douglas 生涯中唯一的代表作

1998 年 Carl Douglas 與來自英國擅長 Rap 的 Bus Stop 合唱團合作
重新又翻唱了《Kung Fu Fighting》居然又在全球各大排行榜又掃了一遍
除了紐西蘭拿到單周冠軍，其他雖然不是前幾名，但也成績不俗撈了一把
這首歌曲裡頭囉七八嗦的 Rap 的歌詞就恕我不翻譯啦…

Cee-Lo Green 是美國知名 hip-hop 歌手，而《搖滾校園》的 Jack Black
很多影迷應該都很熟悉，此次在《功夫熊貓》中也為武學奇才神龍大俠配音
他們的合作使得《Kung Fu Fighting》有了不一樣的風貌，編曲方面可圈可點

2016 年中美合拍 3D 動作喜劇片動畫電影《功夫熊貓 3》這也是夢工廠動畫
被環球影業收購前的最後一部影片，電影主題曲《TRY》包含英文與中文版本
由夢工廠動畫執行長 Jeffrey Katzenberg 親自點名台灣歌手周杰倫監製，此外
他又再度欽點《Kung Fu Fighting》為《功夫熊貓 3》的電影插曲，由英國擅長
Pop rock 的年輕樂團 The Vamps 來主演，我個人可能是因為比較懷舊的關係
雖然主題曲及插曲的 MV 拍的都不錯，真心覺得主題曲實在不如插曲來得好聽
