The Manhattans（曼哈頓合唱團）
他們最初成員都是從 New Jersey 的高中畢業
當兵時志同道合，於 1962 年組團 2 度走馬換將
1976 年唱紅了這首最有名的排行榜暢銷歌曲：
銷售破 200 萬張的 “Kiss and say goodbye“
渾厚低沉的口白，加上迷人的旋律，優美的合聲
這首歌在台灣的四五年級生，都應該不陌生才是
我以前也有這張 The Manhattans 專輯黑膠唱片！
當年學生家庭舞會的 Last one 大都是播放這首歌
和聲反覆地唱著 I'm gonna miss you 表露對戀人的不捨
但是又有那個保守的年代，人們對於家庭責任的堅持
娓娓道來地哄著，無奈地解釋 “obligations and ties“
最後的留戀，只求一個擁抱與深情的吻別，真心的諒解
對照現在這個外遇與婚外情如家常便飯的社會
這首歌更顯得有情有義了！
