我對《GiGi》1958 年的老片子，其實沒有抱著太大的期望
沒想到居然是個 surprise！
一部古典喜劇，中文片名翻譯得很高明：《金粉世界》
大陸就是超級直接地翻譯為：《琪琪》...
電影的劇情倒是挺肥皂的：
GiGi 是巴黎一個調皮、活潑的小家碧玉
祖母、姨媽為了培養她高雅的言談舉止、吃穿用戴，進行淑女養成教育
GiGi 卻滿不在乎，她其實還只是一個長不大的漂亮女孩
糖業小開 Gaston 原來只是個常來家裡作客的大哥哥
卻漸漸被天真純樸的 GiGi 吸引住了，想娶她為妻
祖母極力促成這門婚事，但 GiGi 一時無法適應將嫁入豪門而拒絕
後來發現她也超喜歡 Gaston，於是 GiGi 也試著學巴黎的社交淑女
但她的舉止惹惱了 Gaston，兩人不歡而散…
經過一番波折，兩人終於重歸於好，結為伉儷...
本片當時曾榮獲第 31 屆奧斯卡最佳影片等九個獎項
Joe 幾年前出差去過巴黎，深刻的體認到：
巴黎，那是一個口袋裡有幾個閒錢，可以玩得很開心的地方
《GiGi》拍攝的場景在巴黎，所以鏡頭帶上了許多景點
艾菲爾鐵塔、香舍麗榭大道、巴黎街頭的景致
華麗的歌舞、高級的餐廳酒店、衣冠楚楚的紅男綠女...
試想若在 1958 年的台灣或大陸，看這部電影
不是金粉世界，是甚麼？
法國老牌紅星 Maurice Chevalier 飾演男主角的叔叔
一個富有、風趣的巴黎老紳士，有幾段精彩的歌曲
片中他開宗明義的表白他的 " 巴黎婚姻觀 "
Married? What for?
Now please don’t misunderstand.
Like everywhere else. Most people in Paris get married.
But not all.
There are some who will not marry and some who do not marry.
Here in Paris, those who will not are usually men.
And those who do not are usually woman.
結婚要幹嘛？在巴黎，
不願結婚的都是男人，
結不了婚的都是女人！
更經典的一段是：他教訓為失戀所苦的姪兒
悠閒地在街頭樹蔭下，享受奶酪、紅酒，眉飛色舞
吹著口哨自戀而滿足地唱著：

ps: Methuselah 是舊約創世紀裡的人物，活了969歲
其實《GiGi》這部電影，光看這些優美的歌舞片段
尤其是 Maurice Chevalier 的精彩表演
就已經值回票價了！
