Al Pacino 艾爾 帕西諾 拍過許多膾炙人口的好電影
例如：教父系列 The Godfather，熱天午後 Dog Day Afternoon…
我個人最喜歡的還是這部 1992 年電影《 女人香 Scent of a Woman 》
它榮獲第 65 屆奧斯卡最佳導演，最佳影片和最佳改編劇本三項提名
Al Pacino 憑藉《 Scent of a Woman 》奪得奧斯卡最佳男主角獎
2007年更獲得美國電影學會 American Film Institute 頒發終身成就獎
Scent of a Woman 可以說是讓 Al Pacino 的演技發揮到淋漓盡致
他飾演一名因手榴彈事故中雙目失明，性格暴躁，偏激又孤僻
甚至厭世的退休中校軍官 Frank Slade，退休之後美國陸軍老兵的氣息
高興的後還會喊一聲 "Whoo-Ah!" 來鼓舞自己
他可以靠靈敏的鼻子辨別周圍女人身上的香味，也對女人有強烈官能的品味
在前往紐約的頭等艙內 Frank 粗鄙而真誠地頌讚著他對女人的看法：
Women! What can you say? Who made ’em?
God must have been a fuckin’ genius.
女人！怎麼說呢？誰創造了她們？
上帝肯定他媽的是個天才！
The hair... They say the hair is everything, you know.

一個陷入即將被退學的危機，終日惴惴不安，
卻又臨時擔任 Frank Slade 的看護工讀生
Frank Slade 在紐約，住一流的酒店，吃豪華的大餐
飲醇酒、抽好菸、探親、嫖妓
舞一曲精彩的探戈、瘋一回恣意的飆車、最後計畫著…

終於在回鄉的時候，在貴族中學裡參加針對 Charlie 的審判聽證會
Slade 發表了一段影史上相當著名，煽動而真情流露的演說
Trask: Mr. Sims, You are a cover-up artist and you are a liar …

Frank Slade: But not a snitch！

只能說 Al Pacino 的演技太強了！
任誰與他對戲都會感受到他的光芒萬丈，本片中表現可圈可點的
除了在本片中飾演清純中學生 Charlie Simms 的 Chris O'Donnell
另一位在片中飾演與 Al Pacino 共舞探戈的少女Donna 的 Gabrielle Anwar
雖然在片中只有短短的一段舞曲，但是嬌羞可愛的模樣，真是傾倒眾生！
Al Pacino 非但不會搶走其他配角的光彩，
反而更襯托出彼此對戲的精彩，這就是巨星！
可惜他們兩位在本片之後，雖然都拍過一些片子，
但在影壇上的成績一直也沒有再大紅大紫過了
劇中 Frank 在紐約幾度厭世欲死，Charlie 在槍口下不斷地安慰勸阻：
So everybody does it. Get on with your life, would you?
人非聖賢，日子還是要過，不是嗎？
You can dance the tango and drive a Ferrari better than anyone I've ever seen.
你跳探戈和開法拉利都是我所見過最棒的！
人生遍嘗挫折之餘，畢竟也還有些值得留戀的美好…

這首 Al Pacino and Gabrielle Anwar 共舞的探戈舞曲《Por Una Cabeza》
在 1935年是由阿根廷的 Carlos Gardel 所創作的小提琴協奏曲
西班牙語中的「Por una Cabeza」本為賽馬的術語，
意為「差一個（馬）頭」的長度
在歌曲中用來表示對情人之間錯綜複雜難以割捨的惋惜，
以及阿根廷 Tango 的萬種風情
《Por Una Cabeza》在許多電影當中，除了《女人香 Scent of a Woman》之外
在《Schindler's List 辛德勒的名單》、《True Lies 真實謊言》也曾出現過
但以《女人香》最為人所知，由此可知 Al Pacino 盲人探戈，迷人的功力了！
Carlos Gardel 的《Por Una Cabeza》中文譯名《一步之差》
也真是巧如其分，也就是那麼一步之差，
Frank and Charlie 都在挫折生死之間相濡以沫，得到救贖！
這部令人感動的電影我個人反覆看過 3 遍以上，
它在我的電影收藏裡，名列前茅
我對這部的唯一評價也就是這麼一句：
